Prof. (Dr.) Rekha Shelke brings more than 20 years of teaching and academic administration experience to her role as Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts at MGM University. She is a business focused professional and has an extensive experience in academia, media & journalism, consulting and marketing. She started her journalistic career as an Assistant Editor & Advertising Manager in daily Lokpatra (Aurangabad). As an academician, research associate, teacher and head of academics she has spent around ten years at MGM College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Dr. Rekha Shelke is having a unique interdisciplinary and scholarly background. She has done her Ph.D. in Public Relations, Masters in Mass Communication & Journalism and B.A. (English Honors). Further her specialization includes Media Management, Event Management and Public Relations. She is a prolific writer of Marathi magazines and newspapers where she regularly set forth contemporary topics through her writings. Academically she has presented more than half a dozen of research papers at various international and national conferences & research journals. She has also participated in various All India Radio & Doordarshan programs. She holds a keen interest in art, culture, community, rural empowerment and nature connect.
